Essential Point:
As long as you Seek you will never Find. You are that which you are looking for.
You must Let Go of the search and relax back into what you are through Realization.
Overview:
You will only Find when you stop Seeking. The Spiritual Truth and Essential Realization here is that to Seek for something is to imply that you don’t already have it.
Seeking is a function of the Ego, and you will only begin to find when the Seeking stops, which is to say when the Ego is released. No Happiness or Fulfillment will be found through anything that can be sought. True Fulfillment must come through Realization, which means that it’s already Here, it’s simply a matter of you becoming Aware of it, Not Seeking it.
Seeking is an activity of the Ego State, in which you Believe by the very implication of having to Seek that you are not yet complete, Whole, Happy, or otherwise Fulfilled in the Here and Now. It is this Seeking Mentality, as an intrinsic part of the Egoic Dysfunction, that is the Root Cause of your Suffering.
You are Conditioned to believe Salvation is found “There,” not Here. And so you invest in the quest to arrive “There,” yet as “There” doesn’t actually exist you are left chasing your own tail. To this point, Seeking takes us out of the Here and Now and puts us into Time, in which we exit True Reality and Enter the endless maze of the Mind. To this end, if we are Seeking – we are always Lost, never found.
The Sickness lies in the Seeking itself, and the Healing lies in its cessation. The issue with Seeking, as a part of the Ego Structure, is that it never stops and therefore you can never find what is sought. It is the classic Pursuit of Happiness trap, in which you get stuck in the Hamster Wheel working tirelessly to end up getting nowhere. Another analogy is the idiom, “the grass is greener on the other side,” which reveals that when you finally get to the other side now the other side is greener once more. Another analogy that points to the Insanity of Seeking is “there’s always a bigger fish in the sea,” which reveals that your tireless work to become that “bigger fish” results in the Realization that now there is a bigger fish.
The Essential Realization is that the fundamental issue is not what is sought, but the Seeking itself. To the one who seeks they will never find. You already have what you Seek because you are it, and all you must do is Let Go of the Search and quiet the Mind. Upon this, you’ll come to Realize that what you already are need not be sought as it cannot be sought. Like a current in the Ocean in search of water, You cannot Look at the Looker. You must relax back into the Truth of who you are.
What you are really Seeking is not something you acquire in the World, but something you Realize within. It is a Realization because it is already Here, and it’s simply a matter of you being made Aware of. As such, “finding” is a function of Awareness, of becoming Aware of Awareness, which is to become Aware of Self, which is the Essence of Self-Awareness.
Just as the current of water cannot find the water because it’s both in it and of it, You cannot find Awareness because you are both in it and of it. You are that which you are looking for – Pure Awareness.
To Seek is to be of Lack, and to be of Lack is a quality of the Egoic Level of Consciousness. In Truth, you are already Whole and complete and nothing else need be sought, for there could be nothing else to make you more Whole than the Wholeness that you already are. Thus, through Awakening, you Realize that there is nothing to Seek for as it is all Here and Now, which is what you are and all that is. The deeper your Awakening, the more the Unconscious urge to Seek Dissolves, and the more it is replaced with Conscious Peace and Acceptance of “What is.”
