Essential Point:

Stillness is the Calm, and yet intensely Alive and  Present State of No-Mind through which you are Purely Being. Wisdom enters through Stillness.

Overview:

As the Great Spiritual Teacher Eckhart Tolle once said, “You are never more essentially yourself than when you are Still.” Of course, what Tolle is referencing here is not Stillness of Body, but Stillness of Mind. The state in which there is No-Mind, which is the State of Pure Being.

When you are still, you are Conscious– you are Present in the Here and Now. You aren’t lost somewhere deep in the Mind so that all of your Consciousness is gobbled up by some Thought Form as to take over your Identity and become you. In the state of Stillness you retain all of your Consciousness, from the seat of Consciousness, Being the Consciousness. You can only be Conscious when you are still, when you are not Identified with the Mind.

In this sense, Pure Stillness is Pure Consciousness, which is the state in which you have completely transcended the Mind to be of No-Mind. This state of Pure Being is the Essence of who you are. It is the Essence of all Life Forms, and the Essence of Life itself.

Through Stillness you quiet the Voice in the Head, which is the voice of the Ego, so that you can hear the Inner-Voice that whispers underneath it. To this point, Stillness serves as a primary Portal through which you can connect with your Higher, Formless Self. The Formless Self that enables the Form-based self.

Your ability to be Still is a function of your Level of Consciousness, which is a measure of your Presence Power. The more Conscious you are the more Presence you carry within you and therefore the more still you can be, which is to say the more you can simply Be and the less you have to think.

In the Fully Unconscious state, there is no Stillness, and there is no Stillness because there is no Consciousness. You are all Mind, which is scattered and hyperactive, jumping from thing to thing and decreasing your attention span, or your ability to remain still and Present. The Light of who you are is completely blocked so it’s as if you are only Human and No Being.

As you progress on the Awakening Journey and your Consciousness grows, however, you’ll find that you can remain Still for increasingly long durations of Time. The further you Realize that you are the Presence the more you will be able to hold the Frequency of Presence and thus the longer your Attention Span to remain Still will grow.

Don’t be hard on yourself or try to force Stillness, as it cannot be forced. The one assured thing to prevent Stillness is the attempt to force Stillness. You will likely come in and out of Stillness for a significant part of your Awakening Journey until you reach a Level of Consciousness in which Stillness pulls you into it. It becomes your new Home.

And in the fully Conscious state, the state in which you have fully transcended the Mind and Dissolved the Egoic Identity, Stillness is. As you are now fully Present, so is Stillness. In this State of Being, You Are Stillness, which is to say, you are Purely Being your most natural and Essential Self.
